snowflakes and juicy dumplings

While waiting for Kabil to arrive the next day for lunch, we decided to try out this interesting Taiwanese delicacy named Snowflakes. I was pondering over the name until it arrived. It's made mainly of thirst quenching shaved ice top with any toppings you desire based on the menu. They have 3 series such as Snowflakes series, Memorable Series and Tohua Series. Since it's our first time trying it out, we decided to try the Snowflakes series (cold)- it comes in either hot or cold. Our order came with grass jelly, grass jelly flavoured shaved ice, taroballs and creamer. The taroballs are chewy and have a slight taste of yam and mango. It is truly delightable.

We also tried the Memorable series on the following day as we just couldn't resist the temptation from having it again plus the weather is just killing us. This time we had the Lemon jade Jelly Ice. This is a real thirst quencher. We were both surprise as it really soothes our throat that actually wanted cooling water in the first place. A must try. =)

After having this for our appetizer before lunch, we met up with Kabil and headed over to Din Tai Fung for some steamed dumplings. Being the lamb in this huge city, well sort of since I'll practically get lost on my own, it's my first time going to DTF. Was asked to try out the juicy steamed pork dumplings and gosh, both of them were right! They were steamed in such a way that when you bit a tiny tear in the dumplings' skin, you can actually taste the juice before resisting the temptation to gobble it up in just a couple of seconds. It's tender and I don't think I even mind ordering that and that alone. *sighs*

A couple of dishes that we had was the egg fried rice which is so different from your ordinary fried rice. In every bite, you can feel and taste the eggs that has been generously added to the fried rice. The rice itself is another story because it ain't your ordinary fried rice. I ordered the pork chop noodles and yes I was struck by another kind of cupid that solely ruled over food everywhere. Noodles were made by hand on the spot when you order and it just makes it a wonderful and satisfying meal. Now I wish to go there again. =)

clueless mind over hungry stomachs

Every time when I'm finally back home I wish I was still there in the ever over populated KL city. The joy of waking up each and every morning and the day is automatically filled up *pictures of sun and jumping clowns suddenly crossed my mind* =)

 

When out with Steven most of the time for food! Yummylicious food all day long is like getting caught in the flow of never ending food wherever we go. Kabil joined us too in our hunt for food, well basically it's just picking from the directory as our brains can't function over the lack of food. We finally decided to go for Kampachi for dinner at Pavilion. I had the Sushi Bento, Steven had the Nabeyaki Soba and Kabil had the Salmon Bento. *A pity I don't have a pic of what Kabil had for dinner =(*. Food was great, the ambiance was cosy and it's an added bonus to dine with great company.

lunch turn high tea... i need food!

Attended the MMU Awards 2010 held at Equatorial Hotel last Sunday. The food was so-so, it was suppose to be a lunch event but according to the menu it turn out to be high tea food instead... Oh well *sigh* =(

We were suppose to get the Best International-Level Award but we lost it to some club that only went Aceh only when we Voices hosted the event for more than 10 countries all over Asia. The wonder of how they choose the winners. Most of them were wisely chosen but then again, there are some that made us wonder in silence =) We won the Best Exposition Award *hush but the best part is, dear old mr. president nominated us for the award not knowing what's it about, and only discover it after winning it, how's that? =)*

Put all that aside and we were enjoying each others company with the theme of black and red, and balloons that matched the theme can be found  everywhere, be it the ceiling or on the carpets all around our table. I just heart helium balloons. It makes my mind just wonder away like a butterfly.

pc fair 2010

For me the best jobs are always event based jobs. Yes I know you might think I've gone and hit my head till I can't think straight but although it's hectic, tiring, no proper meals and the ever lack of sleep syndrome, but to me, I absolutely love it and YES, call me crazy all you want but that's not gonna change anything. Been doing on and off jobs or in some words it's called freelancing, since a couple of years back while studying and heck it's fun. Recently work as a model/brand ambassador for Tm Net Streamyx at PC Fair held in Melaka and KL. Imagine this, being the tallest among the 6 girls, high heels is a must, standing and smiling, and posing for endless cameras, jam packed with people for the whole 3 days there and no place to even move freely. It is even a hassle to even cross over to the other side to get to the cafe for meal times. All I can say is endless fun! =)
