fall 2010 collections

Was browsing through the latest fall 2010 collections by various designers and WOW, their work is brilliant especially to the late Sir Alexander McQueen *Salutes*! There are lots of prints, fine details, impact and solid and impact maximum colours and sheer fabrics are in this fall season. Fell in love with quite a few of the collections. Here are a few to begin with... =)

books will always be books...

Mid terms are finally over which comes directly after my debate tournament but all was good =) And now finals will be like *think* in 2 weeks time! Gosh, it just doesn't seem to end now does it? All I can hope is for all these exams to be gone and done with it.

Was up in KL for a job interview recently so I decided to take the route where we walk from Pudu station to Pasar Seni (coz I have to get to Kerinchi station) and man it seems so far away or maybe coz it's due to my first time walking there and not knowing how long it will take and another fact is that I decided to wear heels that day or another fact that there are loads of people walking in every direction that somehow confuses me plus I kinda just woke up which tend to make me a lil tiny winny blur in the morning coz I didn't have enough time to roll in my bed before I wake up *GRINS* Reached the place and was picked up by the agent to get to the place. It was all good after that with the desired result (thanks peeps) and off again to KLCC station where again I decided to walk all the way to pavillion. Well I know you guys will think that oh-this-girl-can-even-walk-for-even-a-short-distance?!!! But I have been walking it heels for the whole day non stop plus apparently the heels wasn't really comfy compared to how it was when I first bought it- there goes the heels.
For a person who adores heels regardless of being tall or not, that was my most un-comfy heels ever *sob sob*

So now am back home and just finis my 70 episodes of Korean series - Dae Jang Geum, I know it's a super duper old series but I do love it! Series somehow keeps me addicted to the extend that I will just drop everything and spend the whole day just watching it. Now that it's over, I realize that I don't have any more series to watch *sigh* Guess it's back to basic again... =)

2nd MDO 2010

It started when the alarm on my hand phone rang continuously for 10 mins to finally get me jumping out of bed. Knowing that I was late already wasn't how I intended to start off the day. Finally after grabbing everything that I thought I should bring with me, *zoom* off to the hotel for the preparations for the registration. When up straight to the hotel and... *sigh* I think I was earlier than the registration people that was suppose to be up and ready *sigh* Had breakfast and it's finally time for the participants of the debate tournament to arrive. Finally everything was done, the registration and the proper arrangements of rooms, and the briefing and adjudication test was about to begin. This was held to somewhat test the skill of the adjudicators that's gonna judge the debate. Dinner that day was the hotel's laksa and damn that was good, I can say that it was the tastiest laksa I've ever has so far. =)

Day 2 begins the following day and I decided to help out with the tabs, and it was fun even thought we practically had to race against time to get the scores, count and double check everything and insert it into the computer and sorting out the winning and losing teams, and also figuring out who's to debate against who. We had the crew to bring our lunch and tea break for us. It's not that we can't take it for our self, it's just that the participants will have their food after their debate and we will be in the tabs room counting away scores. It's like being there but in secret. =) We had McD for dinner that day, I was actually surprise *wee!!!* Then it's off to visit Melaka. Participants were brought to ride on the river cruise and were brought to see the stalls at dataran pahlawan.

Day 3 starts with the remaining 3 debates for the day then we went to have our dinner at the Chief Minister's house in Melaka because this year we have the support of the state government for our debate tournament. The food there was somewhat alright, not hte best that I had hope they would serve seeing as there were students from different countries coming over. After dinner, we all went to MIBC to have a couple of games of bowling. Everyone of them enjoyed it there as it was also a relaxing moment for them to unwind after the continuous rounds of debate. We also prepared a couple of games apart from bowling such as arm wrestling, bowling the slowest ball, push ups and so on. The prize was C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E-S!!! So of course they were willing to take part to have them. It was at the bowling center that the break was announce, this is were teams will know if they made it into the quarter finals. you can almost hear a pin drop even thought the floor was covered in carpet.

Day 4 begins with the teams competing in the quarter finals and finally in the semi finals. The rest of the participants who didn't make it gave their support to their chosen teams by watching the debate. Lots of interesting motion was release throughout the tournament. Everyone was keep in suspense as the results for the teams to break into the finals was only to be announce during the grand finals dinner that day held at Seri Negeri. After the announcement for the winning teams, they were given 30 mins to prepare for the points while the rest of us were entertained with musical performance while dinner was served. The motion for the finals was 'The house will ban smoking.' and finally after the heated arguments that you can only see in a debate tournament, IIUM won yet again. Congrats to the winning team. *cheers*

Photo session was after the event and it is finally over. Time flies so fast that I've already started to miss the hectic-ness of the whole chaotic but fun event. Didn't realise that debate can be this fun *aims to join for the next tournament*. Met really interesting people, the participants, adjudicators, my tabs crew and all the committee members help one another to make this event a successful one. Can't wait for the 3rd MDO next year. WEE!!!
