Home Sweet Home

So here I am, home sweet home again. Have been doing a couple of shows and attending events. Andrewsmodel night out was awesome! Met my fellow model colleagues and we had a night to remember. After party at Bedroom was good. We hit there again the following Thurs but decided that the music wasn't to our liking so Rootz it is. Decided from now on it'll be there for Thurs. I am so missing KL already!
But it's time to hit the books again so yes here I am wondering how on earth can I get to 9 companies in a month to finish the various assignments that has already been set in motion. Craziness to the max!
I am about to lose my mind too! I so need a doctor to bring me back to life.
But as they say, we live life only once, so cherish all its ups and downs and I hold that true.
C'est La Vie.

Craziness Abroad!

With exams out of the way, like finally, there's a whole load of other things to do before the next semester begins. With auditions, callbacks, acnes, running around to get my full academic calender and making sure they stick to it, food, yam cha sessions, shopping, packing and unpacking for my new place, making sure that I stick to picture-figure-thin, and a whole other things, it's a miracle that I still have a huge pile of untouched energy left in me. Phew. Enough said.
And with the long awaited results, I can't say that it's anything but what I've aimed for. Am crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. I so want to spill more details now, but due to me not being able to do so at the moment, I shall keep that for another day.
With all the latest event that has been slowly unfolding in my life, all I can say is that I am truly blessed to have my family, friends and love ones here supporting me. Without their support, I wouldn't have reach where I am today.

The light after darkness

Grieve may be the only thing we all have in common.
But it looks different on everyone.
It isn't just death we have to grieve,
It's life,
It's loss,
It's change.

And we wonder why it has to suck so much,
Sometimes it has to hurt so bad.
But the thing we got to try to remember,
Is that it can turn on anyone.
That's how you stay alive.
When it hurts so much you can't breath,
That's how you survive.

By remembering that one day,
Somehow you won't feel this way,
It won't hurt this much,
Grieve comes in its own time for everyone,
In its own way.
So the best we can do,
The best anyone can do,
Is to strive for honesty.

The really crappy thing, the very worst part of grieve,
Is that you can't control it.
The best we can do,
Is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes,
And let it go when we can.
The very worst part is the very minute you think you've past it,
It starts all over again.
And always, every time,
It takes your breath away.

There are five stages of grieve,
And they look different on all of us.
But there are always five.
Denial.
Anger.
Bargaining.
Depression.
Acceptance.

In the streets.

We entered the world alone,
And we leave it alone.
And everything that happens in between,
We owe it to ourselves to find a little company.

We need help, we need support,
Otherwise we're in it by ourselves as strangers,
Cut off from each other,
And we forget just how connected we all are.

So instead,
We choose love, we choose life.
And for a moment,
We feel just a little bit less alone.

The Letter Black - Best Of Me

Was introduced to this song by a good friend and it's been in my mind ever since.
It truly brings out whatever feelings I had in me,
the feelings, pain, trust and hope that is hidden deep in me.
But you never listen, no you just can't seem to let yourself trust your own self.
With your reasons, you refused any hope that you once had.
Why so?
But even with all this, you're still there waiting patiently.
Waiting for the moment that never seem to appear.
The sadness that I see in you, pains me terribly.
You said you want to but am afraid.
You are all I ever need.
The reason that keeps me whole is because of that.

THE LETTER BLACK: BEST OF ME

LYRICS:

If I could find yesterday
I would take You back to where I'm coming from
Cause You can see the way
All these scars have kept me running
And chasing down the past
But I'm not done, I'm turning back

I swear, You're the only reason I keep breathing
I swear, You keep on giving me the reason to keep believing
Finally I'm worth it, though I'm not perfect
It still feels right, and I keep on giving
Trying to make a difference, in my life
But I know another way to show
Everything I can be for You
You're all that I'll ever need
I'll give you the Best of Me

If I could read tomorrow's mind
I would know exactly where You're taking me
If I'm going to slip away
Or if I stay and give You all my trust
You will keep me safe
I know You won't let me fade

I swear, You're the only reason I keep breathing
I swear, You keep on giving me the reason to keep believing
Finally I'm worth it, though I'm not perfect
It still feels right, and I keep on giving
Trying to make a difference, in my life
But I know another way to show
Everything I can be for You
You're all that I'll ever need
I'll give you the Best of Me

Oh, I know I believe it
No, I will be turning around
I want to know You now
Your Love won't let me down, no!

I swear, You're the only reason I keep breathing
I swear, You keep on giving me the reason to keep believing

Finally I'm worth it, though I'm not perfect
It still feels right, and I keep on giving
Trying to make a difference, in my life
But I know another way to show
Everything I can be for You
You're all that I'll ever need, Woah oh!

Finally I'm worth it, though I'm not perfect
It still feels right, and I keep on giving
Trying to make a difference, in my life
But I know another way to show
Everything I can be for You
You're all that I'll ever need
I'll give you the Best of Me

I'll give You the Best of Me!

I swear, You're the only reason I keep breathing
I swear...

Ajisan Ramen

After the whole day of shopping and another half building left to explore for great bargains,
we went to Ajisan Ramen for a wonderful meal. It's one of those meals that's spent with your loved ones that seems to brighten up any gloomy day that you may have. With continuous laughter, story telling sessions and endless interesting impromptu crazy acts accompanied by dinner, one could only hope for a wonderful evening ahead.

Py had the Spicy Miso Ramen
Which tasted deliciously.

Mine was the Hot Plate Spicy Chicken Ramen
And true to it's words, it's spicy all right.
But spicy to the point that it got me addicted.
Oh you spicy devil!

Bro had the Chicken Teriyaki with extra helping of rice
And half of mine since I can't finish it.

With various other side dishes too...

Cold Tauhu with Sesame Seed Sauce
It has a sort of sourly taste but it blends remarkably well with the sesame seed sauce .
A must have in each meal.

Japanese Gyoza
This is simply a must have. Delish indeed!

Prawn Mayonnaise
In my opinion, this is just not worth it and it tasted quite ordinary.

Chicken Cutlet
Crunchy on the outside and yummy in every aspect!

All in all, we truly had a great meal. =)

Words never uttered...

As time goes by,
It gets more crystal clear.
And I always wonder why,
Everything seems worst than how they would appear.

Claims and facts,
Are all just words.
For I couldn't care less,
For what they're worth.

I'm not saying that I judge you,
As much as I questioned myself.
But off all the things one could outgrew,
Can't you see the things done by you?

With all the hype that has been going on in the debating community, Malaysia Debate Open (MDO 2011) is truly a success!
Am glad that I am a part of it too!
Being one of the most anticipated debate tournament in Asia, we totally rocked it!
With the tabs scores in my hand *evil smile*, well enough of crazy thoughts,
we all made it happen!

Thoughts of the day...

When someone hurts you,
you can either hold on to the anger and resentment
or you can embrace forgiveness.
Forgiveness doesn't mean minimizing or excusing the wrong.

Forgiveness means releasing your feelings of hurt and anger,
and developing empathy and compassion for the one who has hurt you.
Forgiveness brings a kind of peace that helps you move forward.
Forgiveness gives you the courage to move on.

Sabah- Kota Kinabalu part 2

Philippines market is on the list of places to go on the 2nd day of a super hot Saturday which made us all settled down for a cooling huge coconut drink later on. Lots of dried seafood can be found from the fish to abalones, mussels, intestines, and harmless sea horses!

dried abalones

dried fish skins, dried fishes, dried squids, dried intestines, etc.

poor harmless sea horses being sold for RM45 for two

And there's the usual sea shells and bobbling heads of hand crafts, various lengths and types of wooden face mask hanging all over...

bobbling head hand crafts

hear no monkey, see no monkey and speechless monkey

wooden face masks

and
hand swearing monkeys too! =)
*bravo!*

The view at waterfront just calms me down and if it hadn't been for the drops of rain pelting down on us, we would have stayed for beautiful view of sunset soon to come.

see those rain clouds chasing us away?

Went to church as is was Sunday the next day, and me expecting a usual cross in the church got this instead. This was st Sacred Heart Cathedral in KK.

very creative indeed.

And the church grounds are huge, there's easily about three very big buildings and that's not even including the massive space allocated for cars.
It could probably be a home to a new university.

given this view, it's just 1/3 of the church ground.
Imagine it in it's full view, massive!
And as all Sundays, breakfast is always being served after the mass is over.

the hungry bro
There're lots of food to choose from, be it the soup mee that looks like it's bakso mee *lip-smacking goodness*. mee, kuey teow, bee hun, with toppings of sausages and fried eggs to the other corner of hot and steaming porridges, varieties of local cakes, pancakes, chinese breakfast style and drinks to choose from

and also this nutty yellow pancake!

Other places are Gaya Street and the Look out Point Tower.
Headed off for lunch later on and we couldn't resist trying out their ABC's which came with this. Was told that it's actually very common for them to mix fruits with their ABC's.

with avocados

and fruits.

Sunset came to us when we're at the hotel and it's just beautiful.
And yes the pictures are doing the talking.

breath taking indeed!

For our last day, we all decided to have the yummylicious sabah seafood mee and their sabah laksa again. There's no way we can find their unique taste back home in KL. I'm so gonna miss it.

Sabah seafood mee soup

Sabah laksa

And not forgetting that no trips are complete without 'ikan bakar'!
Happy people we were after dinner, how are we not to be as it was delicious.

really spicy kangkung belacan

white rice with asam pedas seafood.

the usual fried rice wrapped in egg omelet

white rice and chicken 'paprik'

taken on our way out in the morning as early as 7am

*hug*

Goodbye KK! I'll return again next for water activities. Who wants to join? =)

Sabah- Kota Kinabalu trip part 1

It's a week after Chinese New Year and as we took advantage of the holidays after that *well not really since we skip classes for the trip* off we are to the Land Below The Wind. We traveled late night so that we can have a fresh start on the following day. Imagine waking up and soaking in the fresh air from a totally different state, yes that's beautiful. I always have this crazy thing whenever I travel to another place where I always tend to stay in bed on the first day for a couple of minutes and just practically be under the comforter and look at the view from the window
*and ignore the need to get ready to go out soon*

Since parents went out to collect our mpv that we rented for the trip, we well more like I basically took my time in getting ready while the tummy is rumbling away. But after like an hour or so, they came back with breakfast in tow and it's super delicious too. Something about the taste you just can't find in west Malaysia. Lucky us, breakfast is delish!

We had Sabah Seafood Mee with extra helping of fresh prawns and fish slices.

Next stop after breakfast is Mt Kota Kinabalu.

On the way up we came some trinkets shop by the side of the road and I just couldn't resist having this!

Bro too couldn't resist!
How could we not?

As soon as we came across this,

The Guard House before we could go any further into Kundasang Park KK,
we are on our way up, up and away!

Traveling up, took a break for late lunch of Chinese snacks and cookies, mist were everywhere to the extend that we can only see a few meters in front of us. Imagine that.

heading this way...

after 2 minutes.

And bro doing what he does best...

four square-ing!

Then we traveled to Ranau and the view is simply to die for.

I was head over heels in love with this. *sigh*

somehow i was reminded of hobbits by this view.. *hmmph*

and the clouds...

Came across the War Memorial of Kundasang.

Spotted the rainbow too!

All this during our first trip, oh what a start!
